Tivoli as a SaaS

( All material here are expressions of my own,and does not reflect that of IBM )

Tivoli Network monitoring which was offered as a product which could be deployed on a stand alone server is now offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service ) on the IBM Cloud.

This offers customers who are on the cloud to use or utilize this service to monitor their servers on and off the cloud.

This is similar to other industry giants who are offerings other services on the cloud.

IBM has entered into this in a big way and here I describe a little bit about how IBM has leveraged the Cloud and offered ITM ( IBM Tivoli Monitoring ) as a SaaS,  on a pay-per-use model.

A SaaS service offers the customer - pay-per-use kind of a service where he can either experiment and try out and determine the feasibility before going on a large scale. Also he saves on time/management of the servers and the backend required for maintaining the hardware/storage etc etc.

In this SaaS that is being offered by IBM, there are many other interesting applications and depending on the requirements - one can choose and pick and meet their business commitments.

A paid customer to this service would first login to the IBM Cloud ( some pictures here show how easy it is to choose the ITM Tivoli Monitoring Instance and create it. )
